The Open Speech Repository

The Open Speech Repository provides freely usable speech files in multiple languages for use in Voice over IP testing and other applications. This Repository was developed by Telchemy to facilitate industry and academic research in the fields of speech quality, speech codecs, speech recognition and other areas. We encourage you to use these files, publish, copy, broadcast without restriction - we only require that you identify the source of files used as "Open Speech Repository".

If you have a new Codec or packet loss concealment algorithm and want to publish "before and after" speech files - you can freely publish OSR files on your web site to illustrate your technology.

• Are you testing an IP phone in the lab and need good quality speech files to provide test input?
• Do you manufacture VoIP test equipment and need sample speech files for your customers?
